Connecting people together and providing real help to them

We are a service arm of mission 21, the Basel Evangelical Mission. Any profits we make flow directly into their programs and projects. The Mission sees itself as a fellowship of churches and related organizations which connects people from different cultures and countries together, combined with a hotel that is now external to the Mission itself. Our organization and its historic world reputation make it possible to offer concrete help wherever peace and justice—or their creation—are threatened. Mission 21 seeks to both spread the word of God and help improve the everyday life of all people across denominational and religious boundaries. An understanding and respect toward other faiths is one of its basic precepts. Mission 21 is active in 17 countries with 57 partner churches and related organizations, working together as a sign of mutual hope based on God's word. They do this through about 100 projects intended to alleviate poverty, improve health, promote women's rights, and work for peace--all within a theological and ecclesiastical framework. Within Switzerland, mission 21 works closely with both Bread for All (the Development Service of the Protestant Churches in Switzerland) and the Swiss government's Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The Swiss Protestant Church Federation recognizes Mission 21 as the missionary arm of the Reformed Churches and Missions in Switzerland. mission 21 is a merger of the following Protestant Missions: the Basel Mission, the Evangelical Mission in the Kwango region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and  the Moravian mission in the Czech Republic.
